A 34 anni dall’uscita del musical-cult “Grease”, la coppia storica di “Danny e Sandy” si è finalmente ed inaspettatamente riunita per un nuovo progetto musicale in ricordo del figlio di Travolta, Jett ( che soffriva di autismo, morto a 16 anni nel gennaio 2009 mentre la famiglia era in vacanza alle Bahamas).
John Travolta e Olivia Newton-John si sono seduti fianco a fianco nel salotto televisivo dell’ “Ellen Show”, per presentare il video di “I Think You Might Like It”. Il singolo è tratto dal loro album natalizio “This Christmas”, i cui proventi andranno interamente alle associazioni benefiche sostenute dai due attori. L’album inoltre contiene una canzone di John Farrar, che scrisse il loro famoso duetto ‘You’re the One That I Want’.
“Abbiamo lavorato all’album per tre mesi e abbiamo avuto guest star meravigliose: Barbra Streisand, James Taylor, Tony Bennett, Cliff Richard, Chick Corea and Kenny G – ha dichiarato Travolta, ospite all’Ellen Show – Tutti i ricavati andranno ad associazioni benefiche.
